The NDP Want to Debate While Rome Burns
The decision to install full body scanners at Canadian airports should have been debated in the federal Parliament, a New Democrat claimed. He somehow sees the installations of full body scanner as the reason parliament ought not to have been prorogued. He wanted the issue debated in the Commons transport committee. Keep Canada safe. Mr. Bevington doesn't want profiling either. "I think it speaks volumes about prorogation," Dennis Bevington, the MP for Western Arctic said, referring to the fact the House of Commons has been suspended by the Conservative government until after the Vancouver Olympics. "This sort of issue should actually be coming in front of the Transport committee. We should have witnesses there describing the pros and cons of this very intrusive system." At least John Baird who Cass has no use for is sticking to his guns and they are being installed. I would have more respect for Mr. Baird if he fired all the guards who cannot pass muster of profiling characters who might be terrorists and use the Israeli technique. To make you feel safe, John Baird's office has confirmed the scanners will be installed at Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Halifax. The report did not name other cities that could also get the devices, which can see through clothing. Listen Up Fantino Cass hasn't read the good Commissioners email but I do know that two tiered policing Is a fact of life for the residences who are bullied, threatened, held hostage and otherwise deprived of their right to have a peaceful life among the natives in Caledonia. Cass thinks it is time for the troops...now. As for the bully boy who spent $500,000.00 defending his actions against someone he thinks was disloyal ( a name all senior OPP like to use it means disagree with in OPP talk) It is time for him to go and time for the government of Ontario to wish him well and time to call a spade a spade. Back off Fantino, your first is too close to my nose and I do not like it. Asses are everywhere but it is outrages when they are paid by the province to intimidate and bully those who serve beside them on the front line. Mistakes are one thing, intimidation another. Superior Court judge has ruled OPP Commissioner Julian Fantino must face allegations of trying to influence municipal officials by means of threats. Judge David Crane's decision overturns a ruling several months ago by a justice of the peace, who argued Caledonia activist Gary McHale's attempt to lay a private charge against Fantino did not meet all the elements required for the charge. McHale received the court ruling Thursday afternoon. "We have set the standard for private citizens' rights to lay criminal charges against government officials," he told The Canadian Press. McHale has led a number of rallies decrying what he calls two-tier justice in the policing of an aboriginal land occupation in Caledonia. In September 2008, McHale filed an order of mandamus stating Fantino should be charged under Section 123 (2) of the Criminal Code of Canada, which constitutes "influencing or attempting to influence a municipal official ... by means of threats" as an offence. This was in response to an email Fantino sent in April 2007 to Haldimand County Council telling the mayor and councillors not to attend McHale's rallies. OPP corporate communications Sgt. Pierre Chamberland said he could not comment Thursday night because he hadn't seen the ruling. Note: This Case Smells At one time when Fantino was a no nonsense cop without an agenda, most of us respected the work he did in making our streets and highways safe in Ontario. Now, he is one of the many who stayed too long and has not only lost his luster buy= but he has lost the respect of the people of the province as as said above, time for him to exit. From the point of view of all of us, the law the lawyers, the police and the courts have failed to do what they should do: simple and clear up hold the law. From Dave Brown's and Dana Chatwell's perspective, settling their lawsuit against the Ontario Provincial Police and provincial government, as they did Wednesday, makes sense Chatwell and Dave Brown took on the thugs in OPP uniforms, sued the province and the OPP and Fantino and found on their side gallant young men and women who wore the OPP uniform with pride and refused to be silenced and refused to deny the undeniable about their not protect these two citizens. They had on their side the late David Marshall and Supreme Court Justice, medical doctor and honourary chief of the Iroquois first nation confederacy. I say on their side because Justice Marshall an advocate for the underdog and an equal rights advocate knew the occupation and lawlessness was wrong and issued orders to the OPP to protect these two and others but the OPP refused to obey his order and appealed it to the high court which reversed the ruling. We'll never hear the testimony or know how much money the government paid these two deserving fighters, We just know it will be added on to the 64 million and counting already spent and the lack of respect the OPP has from the people they police in this area. We just hope those going to testify against the Commissioner are never held back because they are the real men and women of the force and the real leaders of to-day and tomorrow, The Butcher Bill and Afghanistan We have paid a lot so far but trust Cass, and I wish I were wrong here, the butcher bill will get higher and the costs of incidentals liked warped minds broken marriages, beaten spouses and abused children will get higher and higher. It will not get better. The "bums" you and I saw after WW1-11 will reappear. Those bums, we didn't know it, were those who could not forget the carnage, the horror, the brutality and the smell of death so they opted out of society and lived away from their loved ones on the road. They were beaten and scorned after giving up their youth and their values so we could live in peace. There are already signs of renewed fighting and dying in that god forsaken place, Our allies are wavering and we are leaving the battleground soon. It will be like WW1. No real peace, no progress and the country will remain what it has always been: a lawless tragedy pretending to be a country. More Global Warming Across Florida, oranges and strawberries are freezing, icicles are hanging off palm fronds, and iguanas paralyzed by the cold are falling out of trees. Temperatures have plunged as low as the 20s in recent days, forcing people used to wearing flip-flops year-round to put on earmuffs. Tree huggers beware, that is called global warming temperatures in the rest of the state are running at least 20 degrees below normal. By God and By Allah Heresy or Hersey's if you will. Someone worshiping your god and calling it Allah. Any red blooded terrorists knows that the 72 virgins are for the storm troopers of Allah and apparently Allah cannot distinguish between those Christians who use the ubiquitous term and those who say Lord or God or Holy Spirit. At least the Christian God knows that they are called many things sometimes not nice. There were angry protests at mosques in Malaysia after four arson attacks on Christian churches, apparently provoked by a controversy over the use by Christians of the word Allah. Police patrolled of areas around churches and Christian communities were hiring security guards, after gasoline was thrown at four churches in and around the capital Kuala Lumpur, partially destroying one of them. Hours later, Muslim preachers used Friday prayers to object to a court decision that would allow use of "Allah" as the Malaysian language term for the Christian God. "We will not allow the word Allah to be inscribed in your churches," said one speaker at the Kampung Bahru mosque in central Kuala Lumpur. Protesters carried posters reading "Heresy arises from words wrongly used" and "Allah is only for us". Now Allah hasn't been heard to comment on this but we all know the Red Lady in Rome claims to represent Jesus on Earth and the former Nazi Anti Aircraft gunner (deserter) is his appointed spokesman. So maybe Allah has the same kind of person dealing with him in the grand Ayatollah style The word has been used for centuries in Malaysia, as well as by Christians in Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Indonesia as the equivalent of the English word God. But many Malaysian Muslims, who make up 60 per cent of the population, say that Allah should be reserved to refer exclusively to the Muslim deity and that use of it in a Biblical context encourages conversion to Christianity, a crime under the country's Islamic laws By doing so, are they saying there is another deity? Hope not, that would get their head loped off. Still on Allah and his people... 36 people died and more were injured after the minaret of a historic 18th century mosque collapsed in the central Moroccan city of Meknes during FRIDAY Prayers...What better time to strike if you are mad and Allah certainly had His reasons. The mosque was packed as it would be any Friday with faithful if illiterate adherents to Islam at the time of the collapse and local officials warned the toll could mount from the tragedy many blamed on heavy rains that lashed the region in the previous days. Note the blame was put on rain not Allah. This Isn't Racist In the shadow of Montreal, a native community is being torn apart by a plan to evict non-natives from the Mohawk reserve well actually not torn apart, most agree with throwing out whitey even if he married your sister. Not racist at all say the Indian, just your average not in my neighbourhood law. Remember Alabama where a Negro couldn't sit beside you in a drug store having a milkshake, That sort of not racist we just do want Negros going out with our daughters type law. Iroquois want the same not racist law on reserves.. On one side is a crusading weekly newspaper making money fanning the fire calling the move racist and on the other side the jelly donut and beer band council that says it has every right to protect Mohawk culture and chart a course for the community's future. Wow, AH would be proud of them. In the far corner is the Federal government and the Premier's office in Quebec not wanting to antagonize these home grown men and women. Eviction notices that went to 26 non-native partners of Mohawk residents are causing lots of comments all over the world. They screamed racism and once word leaked off the reserve, the move was branded as racism and made headlines. "We know we are not racists and to be labelled as such is hurtful," said Joe Delaronde, a spokesperson for the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake. Delaronde said it is a matter of survival for a reserve squeezed onto 5 hectares by French-speaking Quebec. Every single person in this community knows (from a band rule adopted in 1981) that ... we have the right to determine who lives here says a spokesman for the council. Now Cass will point out the southerners said they were not racist either. Separate and equal if a few lynching's happened they were not racist either just law and order reminders don't know why people think it has anything to do with racism ... our law says (non natives (not racist non natives) cannot live here. Isn't it fun. Now Cass has said for years we want immigration but only those I think our Indians brothers are wrong. Kick out the malcontents but do not rule on race when someone marries your brother or sister. That's this week. Cass |
