AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE MANITOULIN NORTH SHORE NAVAL VETERANS ASSOCIATION AND THE ROYAL CANADIAN NAVAL ASSOCIATION

1.To maintain the operation of an organization to accommodate persons interested with, Maritime and naval matters and actions.

2 (a). To support the maintenance of an adequate Navy, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine in Canada, for the defence of our country.

2 (b). The Manitoulin North Shore Naval Veterans Association

(MNVA) supports the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet corps and the Navy Cadet Corps in its area. It cooperates in as much as possible with the Navy League of Canada and Alumni Associations in the area.

3. To provide a forum or meeting venue whereby persons serving or who have served in the Naval and Maritime Forces of Canada, the Commonwealth, our other allies, and all members of the friendly Naval community may be kept abreast of changes in Maritime matters.

4. To promote the glorious traditions of the Navy, Army, and Air Force in Canada and its allies. Members & former members of allied forces are welcomed to apply to the RCNA and the MNVA.

5. To cooperate with the Royal Canadian Naval Benevolent fund, the Royal Canadian Legion, and other organizations dedicated to the welfare of former naval personnel.

6. To support charitable organizations as determined from time to time.

7. To recognize and support a Ladies Auxiliary (should one be formed nationally or locally) as a constituted duty of the association.

8. To accept donations, legacies, artifacts, gifts, and bequests.

9. All members shall have parading and ceremonial privileges.
